Custom Tee Gift Cardholder

I needed to make a card for a friend for his birthday and decided to make it a gift card so I could include a surprise.  Instead of a gift card, since we were only doing cards, I decided to include some lottery tickets. I thought it would be fun for him to try his luck.  You never know.  So for this card I  used the new Custom Tee stamp set in the new Occasion’s catalog.  It comes as a bundle with matching framelits and you always save 10% when you purchase the set as a bundle.  Enjoy the video and see how I made this fun gift card.  If you need to purchase any of the supplies, please click on the items below.

Hey, Chick meets the Tasty Trucks

I knew when I saw these two stamp sets in Sale-a-bration, that I would have to put that crazy chicken from Hey, Chick in the Tasty Trucks.  I love chicken tacos, so it only seemed natural that the chicken would be selling tacos.  Don’t ask me how my mind works, but I do have a craving for chicken tacos now.  LOL!  The best thing about the Tasty Trucks stamp set, is your truck can sell cupcakes, ice cream, hot dogs or even pancakes! It’s so versatile.

Notice the pretty gold metallic ribbon?  It’s another Sale-a-bration product that can be earned for free with a $50- order.  It is paired with a metallic silver ribbon and I absolutely love it.  Until you feel it, you won’t believe how soft and pliable it is.  It really has a shimmer to it too.

Another new thing in our Occasion’s catalog is the watercolor pencils I used them to color the truck and the chick.  I used my blender pen to finish coloring for a nice watercolor look.

Stampin’ UP! Christmas Thank You notes

As I continue to make thank you notes, I was inspired to use up Christmas paper and ribbons I had left.  My New Year’s resolution is to use up my Designer paper before I buy more.  So I have a quick and easy card for you that does just that.

Sneak Peek with the new Occasions and Sale-a-bration’s catalogs.

I have been making thank you notes for all my wonderful Christmas gifts and have been using some new products that will go live on Jan. 4th.

There is a great stamp set called All Things Thanks that has great sayings to express your thanks.  I also used a new Sale-a-bration Designer paper called Inside the lines.  It has beautiful flowers and tropical leaves. You can earn it FREE with a $50- order.  You can color a lot or a little.  I find it very relaxing.  If you are wondering how I colored the flowers, I am using our new watercolor pencils.  They are fantastic!  I colored on the flowers and blended it using my blender pen.  It gives great dimension and variation to the flowers.  Here are the directions to the two cards I have made.

Directions:

1. Cut a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″ and score at 4-1/4″.
2. Cut a piece of the Designer paper 4″ X 4″.
3. Wrap a piece of Melon Mambo ribbon around the Designer paper and attach to the card front with snail.
4. Color the Designer paper with the watercolor pencils using the Bermuda Bay, Old Olive, Calypso Coral and Melon Mambo pencils.
