FREE Afternoon Designer paper

Sometimes you can’t get enough of a good thing.  Last week I showed you the beautiful Daffodil Afternoon Designer paper that you can earn free in Sale-a-Bration.  Well…..
instead of showing you an exclusive stamp set, I decided to feature the designer paper and design around that, using different stamp sets to get three different looks.

The first card uses two stamp sets.  I used Sunny Sentiments and Hello Ladybug.  The sentiment comes from the Sunny Sentiments featured in the Annual catalog.  I love this set because it has beautiful fonts and is large, so you don’t have to do much.  I also stamped the daisy in the Hello Ladybug set that is in the Mini catalog two times in two different colors. Then I punched them out using the medium daisy punch, also in the annual catalog. I finished the card with the cute Brushed Brass Butterflies.  Notice I put a small one in the center of the daisy?
The second card uses the Hello Ladybug stamps.  I decided to use black and yellow for a bumblebee effect.  You could also use the striped paper in the Pattern Party Designer paper, that you can earn free in the Annual catalog with a qualifying order. I punched it just below the head and colored with my light Daffodil Blend marker to make the body striped.

For the third card, I used the saying from the Timeless Tulips set in the annual catalog that carried over.  I also used some of the new Brushed Brass Butterflies.

The point is that you can use old sets or new sets and get the look you need for different occasions, when you have fantastic designer paper like this. I love to blend the old with the new.
Place any order using myHost Code KTFR6HRE and I will send you an e-mail with the supply list and instructions how to make these three cards.
Place a $75- order (before tax and shipping) using my Host Code and I will send you out the kits to make all three cards.  You will have to use your stamps, as Stampin’ Up!’s policy does not allow me to stamp for you.

Thank You Card

I have a quick and easy thank You card for you today.  I needed a quick card to thank family for Christmas gifts and wanted it to be cheery with all the harsh weather the East is experiencing. When I lived in the East, I can remember my daffodils popping out of the snow.  It was always a beautiful site.
So I pulled out the FREE Sale-a-bration Daffodil Afternoon Designer Paper and let the beautiful paper do the work.
I used So Saffron Cardstock and layered the Designer Paper on top.  The Thank you was from the Sunny Sentiments stamp set.  I “masked” the saying by using a post it note to cover the rest of the saying and only inked the Thank You in Evening Evergreen ink. When you are masking you cover what you don’t want, stamp on your ink pad, remove the post it note and stamp on the card. It’s really easy and gives more versatility to your stamps. I stamped the saying on a piece of Very Vanilla to match the background in the designer paper.
Lastly, I added some of our new Brushed Brass Butterflies from our new Spring Mini catalog. Don’t forget during Sale-a-Bration you can earn free products with every qualifying order.

Instructions: Cut So Saffron 4-1/4″ X 11″ and score at 5-1/2″
Cut Designer paper 4″ X 5-1/4″ and glue to the card.
“Mask” the saying using a post it note and only leave the Thank You showing. Ink the saying and then remove the post it and stamp on the paper. Stamp the saying Thank You on Very Vanilla using Evening Evergreen ink, leaving only the Thank You. Cut piece 4″ X 3/4″. Glue to the bottom of the card.
Add brushed butterflies.
Cut a piece of Very Vanilla 4″ X 5-1/4″.
Stamp saying from Happy Hedgehogs in Evening Evergreen ink and glue to the inside of the card.

Catching Butterflies

I have three versions of Catching Butterflies for you today.  She is so adorable and carefree.
I colored her face and legs using our Ivory & Bronze combo markers.  This time I only used the Ivory.  For a while now this has been our only choices for skin tones.  Stampin’ Up! is coming out soon with more range in skin tones.  I have a video for you to watch to tell you more about it.  They also have an awesome stamp set, dies and Designer paper coming in February. I just couldn’t wait to tell you.  If you don’t want to wait till February, you can join my team now and add them to your starter kit. As Demonstrators we get to try new products early.  I have already ordered the Blend markers and will demonstrate them after they get here.
I changed her dress by using some Desiner paper for two of the cards and used my Blend markers to color the third one. You can stamp this set as is or change it up with markers and paper.
Check out my 3 versions.

My first version has her catching hearts for a cute Valentine card. Some Sweet Talk Designer paper and Blend markers make this a fast and easy card.

This version is for any celebration.  I used the Sale-a-Braion FREE Sunshine & Rainbows Designer paper for her dress. I just stamped, cut out and glued to the stamped image.

For this last version, I used more of the free Sunshine & Rainbow paper on page 8 in our Sale-a-Bration catalog. This time I stamped the balloon using the FREE Host set in the Mini catalog called Mischievous Mice.  The dress was stamped, cut and glued in the same pattern for a festive Birthday card.

As you can see I love this Free stamp set called Catching Butterflies.  I even used Free Designer paper and a free Host set.  Remember, you don’t have to Host a party to qualify for it.  If your order is $150- or over, you can enter this code and receive the stamp set free.

When you are ordering and earn a free Sale-a-Bration item with each $50- you spend, just scroll down on your order form and it will tell you how many free items you have earned.  Just enter your choice there and enjoy the rewards that come with your order.

If you place an order using my current Host Code KTFR6HRE,  I will e-mail you the pdf for all three cards with the supply list and instructions to make them as a thank you.
