It is now officially summer. Boy have we been getting a heat wave! Needless to say, I have been craving alot of water and cold fruit. Peaches always remind me of summer. They are juicy and I often have one for breakfast. I also like to bake them in pies and cobblers.
Well, I decided to pull out the Sweet As A Peach bundle and the Give It A Whirl dies and love the card I made. I have a video for you showing you tips on how I use these dies and have even more than one card idea for you. I pulled out set after set and made Whirly cards. They are so fun and hopefully the recipient will enjoy them as much as I do.
Cut thick Basic White cardstock 5-1/2″ X 8-1/2″ and score at 4-1/4″.
Cut Designer paper 4″ X 6″ and use the die from the Give it A Whirl set to cut paper.
Use circle die to cut out center circle.
Cut white scalloped piece out using the die and save the inside circle piece.
Cut the sectioned scalloped piece with the die.
Use pencil to lightly mark a v so you know where to stamp.
Stamp the sayings in Calypso Coral ink.
Attach a brad to the designer piece, then the scalloped cirlce and then the circle piece you saved after punching a hole in the middle for the brad.
Use Dimensionals to attach to the card as seen in the video.
Attach the scalloped piece to the circle with liiquid glue.
Cut out the peach picture with white and a larger piece with Old Olive using the dies from Stitched So Sweetly.
Stamp the peach and then attach to the green piece with glue.
Stamp the leaf in Old Olive ink and cut out with matching die.
Attach the leaf to the peach with glue dots.
Stamp the saying inside the card in Calypso Coral ink.
