Service Essentials

Today I am taking a different approach to Valentine’s Day.
I belong to a Community Club that takes this week and always thank our First Responders.  We make snack boxes/baskets and take them to our local Police Dept and Fire Dept. and thank them for their service.  We always deliver them before Valentine’ Day so they feel the love.

So today, I am using our new Service Essentials stamps and dies. Take a look. There are great sentiments and you can use them for Military, Red Cross, your Heros, and in my case, First Responders.
We haven’t had a new Military set in a while, so I scooped this one up right away.
I love that it came with matching dies.  You can buy them separately or bundle them for a 10% savings.
Here is the Item # 167438. $40.50.

This is my card.  I used the Shimmer Star Foam Stickers that came out around Halloween time, but you can use the star dies in the bundle too.

This is the inside of the card.  I stamped the small stars with the stamps and Crushed Curry.
For the outside of the card I used a piece of Blueberry Bushel and stamped the stars in Misty Moonlight ink.
Next, I took a piece of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment in Azure Afternoon ink.  I stamped the red in real red ink and cut out one of the stripes. I glued it to the shield.
I cut a star out of Crushed Curry and popped it up with a dimensional.
I stamped and cut out the wings with Crushed Curry ink and glued them to the back of the shield.  Then I cut a circle with Azure Afternoon cardstock using the largest Stylish Shapes circles. I pipped the shield on top of the circle and popped the circle on the card front.
Last, I attached some of the star stickers I had. Again, you can cut out stars with the dies and attach them too.
These cards will look great in our baskets.
I also have a Nephew currently serving in the Navy and will send one to him too.
I love this set and appreciate all their sacrifices.  It’s always nice to say Thank You!
