| Today I want to share with you a really cool 3-D Embossing folder. It’s called Sunflower. I loved this embossing folder and finally got a chance to play with it. |
It’s item # 166145 for $12-.
One is embossed with the SU logo on the top and one is debossed. You turn the folder upside down and it will make an impression or deboss the image.
This one is debossed. I ran a piece of white cardstock through the folder and colored the flowers with my Blend markers. I used Granny Apple Green for the leaves and Lemon Lolly for the sunflowers. The centers were colored with Light Pecan Pie. I used the light and dark markers for shade the sunflowers. After that was colored I took my Black Memento ink pad and dragged it over the image several times. It colored in the background and made the flowers pop!
For this card I kept it simple. I used a piece of Cloud Cover cardstock and ribbon.
I embossed it and then added a simple saying from the Right Words Stamps #165316 and used the Mixed Labels Dies. # 164652.
I addes a couple 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls. The card base is another In Color called Secret Sea, which complimented the Cloud Cover color. Simple and elegant and can be used for so many occasions.
You can also color with your blender brushes or sponge daubers to bring color to the sunflower.
You can also use your watercolor paper and brushes. Splatter ink for a cool effect. There are so many possibilities and who doesn’t love sunflowers?
